The move.
I've been busy, very busy.I'm moving next door, but won't move until this house is sold. The estate agent came round and took the photo's and did his little speeches, mostly about how much the market has fallen and if I want to sell I have to realistic. I am realistic but I'm not giving the house away just so he can get a quick sale.
He sent a copy of the sales pitch, it made me take a long hard look at the outside of my house. This galvanised me into action.
I've varnished the windows, cut the grass, hid the dustbins out of sight, repaired the fence and ripped some old satellite dishes and all the cabling that goes with it. So I'm going to ask him to come back and re-take the house front photo again.
Tonight I set about making sure the house does not look cluttered. I started to move things next door. Then I found a tin of proper furniture wax polish. I have lots of bare wood, polished, so I started doing the door frames and then the banister, then some pieces of furniture, ending up with the shower tiles. The tiles are old stone type which had originally been polished but the wax had grown thin, the shower looks great now.
It does make me wonder why I did not do it sooner? Lazy? yes.
It also makes the house smell great, I had forgotten how much better wax from a tin is compared to spray wax.
The weather.
It's been great here, Micks away because it's his birthday weekend and he's gone back to his home town, so I worked on my own today. I think that's the first time I've worked on my own for quite a while. Anyway the weather was great, no wind, just a lovely dry day with the sun beating down, a balmy 8 degree's.So we're having an extra days golf tomorrow, we don't normally play on a Sunday but it's to good to miss.
