Cornwall.

Well I'm back from Cornwall. It took three trains to get down there, but only one on the way back. Still 8 hours is a long time, I'm flying next time ( I flew last time, I don't know why I used the train ). The weather was fantastic for mid-January. The first 3 days were spent at Jenny's house, we lounged around and went for walks along the coastal paths.  These led to pubs and little beaches and the sun shone. Then in the evenings we played scrabble (3 all). I'll post some photo's soon. Then we went for the main event, three days in a luxury cottage with Jenny's family. The occasion was Jenny's birthday ( I'm not telling which milestone was passed ). Long walks through woods and along the river and then a long lazy lunch with lashings of Guinness. It was great to meet Jenny's daughters and family, the last time I met them was 14 years ago, so a lot of water under the bridge since then. Then on the last night we went to a folk night. Everyone sits round and each takes a turn (only the ones who want to), as they say 'Nowt as funny as folk', not the music, the people. So it back to the grindstone, golf tomorrow and then meeting Malcolm for a few drinks before I go on self-denial crusade. Off to bed.
