On my hols for 7 days.

I'm away for a week.

My daughter phoned up.
'Dad we have a 10 berth boat and some people are not coming so we have a spare room (or bed, not sure).

So I'm off for a week.

My daughter, her partner and my grandson will be on the boat. Should be good. I'm taking the guitar and mandolin, so I'll be happy. I'm going to learn some Mumford & Sons. Plus brush up on some stuff I have not done for a while.

Gifts.

I did a job yesterday for a couple of friends. When I first met them they were married to other partners.
And after a devorce and the death of one of their partners, they got together.

Anyway, thats not the story. The story is, the man who died was a musician and he collected instuments the same as I do. Why else would I have a Tuba?
Anne, at the end of the job said 'Do you want the old Banjo?' my eyes light up. 'OOHH yes please' I put it in the van. 'Would you like to take that old Trombone?' I was in seventh heaven.

So I now own a banjo and a trombone. Yes they are old (very old, they smell) but hey.

Glastonbury.

The trip to next years Glastonbury took a good turn last night. There is a banjo player of great skill. He does all music, some of it is to Folksy for me. But he wants to work with me, so were going to pratice together.
He'll be great for some Mumford & Sons stuff.
Also I managed to talk to some of the best female singers in the North of England, quality. They maybe coming as well.

So I'm off for a week. I'll post when I get back.

Good night.
