At the pub.
I drink at the Cumby (Cumberland Arms, Newcastle) It's where I do my singing. Just before I went away on holiday it was 'The Ousburn Festival'. It goes on every year, live music, dancing, and some real arty things. One of them this year was the 'Morris Men'. We have differnt Morris Men coming, it's all tounge in cheek ........... (having a laugh, ............because people all over the world read this I try not to put in to many English sayings like 'Tounge in cheek, and if I do I'll explain it in brakets). The Morris Men must practice for many hours, because they do many dances. Some for a good harvest, some for celebrations of new babies, all sorts of dances.
Any way I had my phone and took a few pictures.
So, this is me. Getting a tan on my jeans. Or just topping up my underarm tan. I'm not a big sunbather. I'm just happy to lie in the sun and relax. No one see's the rest of me, except me and I never look to hard.
This is my daughter and her partner, relaxing at the front of the boat. We are entering a built up area. The river side houses were great, but not cheap.
A lot of the houses were thatched, with their own river moorings. Big signs on them saying 'NO MOORING, PRIVATE'.
Well thats what you pay for I suppose.
I did not drive much, prefering to let others take the strain. But I did a bit. You would think I would brush my hair once in a while.
We all had our own jobs, cooks, drivers, I was the cleaner. Well I had everything done in an hour then I got waited on hand and foot for the rest of the day. On thing I did learn quickly, if we moored under a tree, it was much harder to clean the boat the next morning, we only did that on the first night. Still I washed the outside of the boat every day.
My daughter, just like her mother. Same sense of humour. We have a great laugh together.
I think she'll be getting married again next year, I'll be giving her away, I tried to sell her, but what with the recession...................... you take what you can.
These photo's are just off the phone. I'll get the camera out another time, lots more.
Good night (1.20 am ). I always write late in the night and never re-read what I've done so thats the way it is.
