Doubts and dating.

My first date.

We have a saying here 'I'm bricking myself'

Yes, I'm bricking myself. I don't know why. I've got a date on Thursday, it's Monday 3rd Feb 2014 ( you maybe reading this in a hundred years).

She lives in South Shields, England. It's about 13 or 14 miles from here, but it's hard to get to. I used to live there from 1975 to 1986, I then moved to North of the river and never really went back.

My first wife is buried there, my Daughter was born there, have have friends there. But I still don't go back much.

So, what if we like each other? Does that mean traveling to South Shields regular? Oh, I'm not going to look that far ahead. I need to have a plan, what to say, what to ask, ............... yes, open questions.

Getting to the dating site, I get,............. I know I'm vulnerable, an old man who looks lonely, who looks like he may take the bait. I get very young very attractive women saying things like 'I'm curious about you', 'You look nice?'

You sit there and read their none too clear profile, your ego goes 'Flip' 'Wow' 'Nice' 'Could it be possible' 'It would be nice' 'It would be nice' 'It would be very nice'

Then the doubt sets in, ...........It's to good too be true,...............you look again, ................. yup, too good.

I send a message 'You're a long way away' ,,,,,,,,,,,,, 1 was in America, 1 in Australia, but and this was just last night, which got me thinking. 3 very, very nice girls, all in my fantasy age group (29-31), just a simple question or remark. 

It would be nice to think I'm that nice that I could attract a girl like that, but ............ both feet on the ground here, ......................... yes would be nice.                Shut up Paul.
